Incoming travelers will no longer be required to register for the Thailand Pass from July 1, 2022. Thailand has also lifted the US$10,000 health insurance requirement if proof of vaccination or a pre-arrival negative Covid test result is provided.The following rules will be in effect from 1 July 2022, with specific requirements for vaccinated and unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travelers from all countries/territories with scheduled arrivals from this date.Pre-arrival requirementsVaccinated travelers must have the following documents for entering Thailand:A valid passport, or a border pass for arrivals via border checkpoints.A Certificate of COVID-19 Vaccination- Everyone 18 years of age and older must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with an approved vaccine at least 14 days before traveling to Thailand. Foreign nationals are only required to show proof of either a certificate of vaccination or a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result within 72 hours of travel. These can be in print or digital format.- Travelers 5-17 years of age traveling to Thailand unaccompanied must get vaccinated with at least 1 dose of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before traveling to Thailand. Those traveling with parents are exempt from this requirement.Unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travelers must have the following documents for entering Thailand:Unvaccinated travelers will be required to provide proof of a valid passport or a border pass issued at the border checkpoint. Unvaccinated travelers must also provide proof of a negative RT-PCR or ARK test taken within 72 hours of travel.  Unvaccinated travelers who cannot present proof of a negative COVID-19 test will be required to undergo additional entry testing and health measures. On Arrival RequirementsUpon arriving in Thailand, all travelers must undergo entry screening including a body temperature check, and present the required documents to the Immigration/Health Control officer to carry out the checks.Random checks will be made on arrivals at Thailand’s international airports or land border checkpoints (in 22 provinces). Unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travelers who are randomly checked and who are unable to show proof of a pre-arrival negative test will be required to undergo a professional ATK test at the point of entry.The vaccinated travelers will then be allowed entry and are free to go anywhere in the kingdom. *For arrivals by land using a border pass, they will be allowed a stay of no longer than 3 days within the specified areas only.Likewise, unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travelers who have proof of a negative result from an RT-PCR test or professional ATK within 72 hours of travel will be allowed entry and are free to go anywhere in the kingdom.The unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travelers without a negative test result within 72 hours of travel are required to follow the public health instructions and guidelines as deemed appropriate by the Health Control officer at the point of arrival. All expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the travelers.During the StayMandatory wearing of face masks for outdoor activities or in public areas is lifted. However, Face mask-wearing will still be required for people who are 60+ years old and those with chronic diseases, who are not vaccinated are highly encouraged to wear a mask when present with others.While in Thailand, both vaccinated and unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated travelers are advised to strictly follow the health and safety standards. Travelers who are experiencing COVID-like symptoms should get tested.
