
Netflix’s upcoming movie, ‘A Tourist’s Guide to Love’ will be filmed in Vietnam next month, with the participation of international and local stars. According to a Netflix representative, the movie will be
filmed in April in five tourist destinations in Vietnam, including Da Nang, Hoi An, Ha Giang, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Its trailer, appearing on Tuesday evening (March 28th, 2023), showed snippets of its plot. After breaking up with her boyfriend, Amanda (played by Rachael Leigh Cook), a travel executive, visits Vietnam to explore its landscapes and traditions.
During the trip, she meets tour guide Sinh (Scott Ly) and changes her itinerary on his suggestion. The two visit several places together, and right at the moment, they realize their feelings for each other her ex-boyfriend shows up. Now she has to choose between 2 men.
The trailer takes viewers to several destinations in Vietnam, including the enchanting Thu Bon River in Hoi An, the ancient My Son Sanctuary in Quang Nam, the bustling Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City, and majestic villages in Ha Giang.
The journey of love takes us to the enchanting Thu Bon River in Hoi An. It comes alive at night with its gentle ripples whispering stories of old, and the soft breeze carries the fragrance of the surrounding flowers, creating a romantic ambiance that is nothing short of magical.

The ancient My Son Sanctuary in Quang Nam, where the echoes of the past still linger. Viewers will venture to the bustling Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City, where the flavors and colors of Vietnam come alive.

Finally, we discover the majestic villages in Ha Giang, where the warmth and hospitality of the locals fill our hearts with joy.

Through this journey, viewers experience the true essence of love, where every moment is a celebration of life, and every step taken is one towards discovering the beauty of the world and the people in it.
The movie will feature stars like American actress Rachel Leigh Cook, Vietnamese-American actor Scott Ly and Vietnamese actresses Truc Tran and Le Thien.
"With Vietnam’s rich culture and breathtaking sites taking centerstage, the production will also involve over 200 local crew members and vendors including those in the production, domestic travel, and retail industries," Netflix stated.
Netflix, which launched its Vietnamese language website in October 2019, has 222 million subscribers in over 190 markets.
