The Da Lat - Thap Cham railway transformation envisions breathing new life into this iconic cog railway, converting it into a thriving tourism attraction. The railway's route spans over 83 km, passing through critical destinations such as Phan Rang City, Ninh Son District, Ninh Thuan Province, and concluding in Don Duong District and Da Lat City, Lam Dong. The development plan, set to commence from January 2025 until June 2029, envisions 16 stations and passenger points, an expansion from the original setup.
The restoration project comprises two primary components. The first involves restoring the section from Thap Cham station to Trai Mat station, covering more than 76 km, including bridge and tunnel refurbishments. The second component focuses on upgrading the operational Trai Mat station to Da Lat station stretch, embellishing both stations for a holistic experience.
