Vietravel Airlines Transitions to Joint-Stock Company Model
In a significant milestone, Vietravel Airlines has officially transitioned to a joint-stock company, opening doors to greater capital mobilization and societal resource attraction. The airline has increased its charter capital from VND 700 billion to VND 1,300 billion, solidifying its financial foundation for long-term growth plans.
The airline's shareholder structure has also transformed, now comprising four domestic legal entities, including Vietravel Corporation, Vietnam Travel and Marketing Transports Company (Vietravel), and two other Vietnamese individuals.
Notably, all shareholders of Vietravel Airlines are Vietnamese organizations or individuals. Vietravel Corporation remains the largest shareholder, holding an 85.8% stake, followed by Vietnam Travel and Marketing Transports Company with 13.7%. This demonstrates the airline’s commitment to fostering domestic resources while adhering to state regulations on aviation investment.
Strategic Shift to Fuel Long-Term Growth and Operate 50 Aircraft by 2030
The transition from a limited liability company to a joint-stock model is a strategic move for Vietravel Airlines. This shift not only facilitates collaboration with both domestic and international partners but also aligns with the parent company, Vietravel Group’s transformation into Vietravel Corporation.
The increase in charter capital and the diversification of shareholders provide Vietravel Airlines with the resources to execute long-term development plans. One of the highlights of Vietravel Airlines’ development strategy is its ambitious fleet expansion plan. In its first year, the airline operated 3 aircraft. By 2025, this number is expected to grow to 25, and by 2030, the fleet will reach 50 aircraft.
