Mui Ne, a coastal fishing town in the southcentral province of Binh Thuan, has been named among the top six best destinations for a magical hot air balloon ride, according to booking.com.
Around 12 km away from Phan Thiet City, Mui Ne is the only locality in Vietnam that offers a hot air balloon ride over sand dunes, which starts at 5 a.m.
“The hot air balloon ride starts as early as 5 a.m. for the early birds to catch the magnificent scene that is as red as though visitors are transferring to a trip to Mars,” says booking.com.
In 2017, Mui Ne started offering hot air balloon rides for visitors to explore the coastal town famously for its ancient fishing villages and rolling sand dunes.
It also suggests that visitors partake in must-try activities in Mui Ne by taking a Half-Day Sand
Dunes Jeep Tour, which features lots of exciting activities on the Red Sand Dune, as well as visiting a fishing village to explore the local way of life in Mui Ne.
The other five destinations recommended for the rides are Napa Valley and Albuquerque Valley
in the United States, Yarra Valley in Australia, Siem Reap in Cambodia, and Gstaad Valley in Switzerland.
The ranking was based on a survey conducted among more than 24,000 people in 32 countries and
territories who plan to travel for business or leisure in the next 12-24 months.
